the way we think | the way we work | the results | the firm |
coG-studio is a design based studio created in 2005. With a strong research and detail process, the intent of coG-studio has been to analyze and understand the problems between existence and design through the understanding of our senses. As critical thinkers, we aim to rebuild and develop spaces or works that function with a purpose and recreate the relationship between structures, objects, and the environments. Our focus is unique and extends from Architecture to Digital Visualization, Graphics, and Products. We enjoy collaboration and recreating our clients’ vision, while expanding the desire of design. Founder – Chandra Moore Chandra grew up in California where she began her experience working in Architecture firms since she was a student in high school. This experience provided the foundation for her working in established firms around the world. She received both her Bachelors and Masters of Architecture from University of Detroit Mercy with a focus in Digital Visualization. This degree cumulated in a design thesis that focused on the meaning and mechanics of Virtual Reality verses Reality in an Urban Community. In addition to analyzing Urban Communities like Detroit, Chandra was given the opportunity to practice in the United States, and abroad including China, London, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Tennessee, Washington D.C, Minneapolis, and San Francisco. Her professional experience ranges from Conceptual Design to Construction Administration. This experience gave her the opportunity to design a 34,000sq.ft. Therapeutic Wellness Center for The Saben Center in Los Angeles, to designing the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis Tennessee, to a full service-design and construction administration of Detroit’s Riverwalk Pavilions.
